certain shows are blocked on TV otherwise, i don’t worry too much about it, for some reason it’s always on spongebob…They only get 30 minutes of computer time per day unless they do extra chores for more time and lately, they haven’t even wanted to be on the comp. I also have the parental controls set on the comp so they can only access certain websites. yes this site is blocked from them…

There’s only one tv, and they can only go in the tv room during times of the day when it’s allowed to be on (in the summer, before mom’s had breakfast and 1/2 hour in the afternoon; during the school year, just the afternoon). I can hear the tv from the part of the house I’m generally in and of course I also am sometimes in there with them. We have no cable; just a few kid-friendly dvds and network tv, of which they’re only allowed to watch pbs (unless it’s a special thing like the olympics).
The one computer the kids can use is in a common area where anyone passing through can see what they’re doing. It also has parental controls installed.
Two months a year we go “unplugged” and have no computer or tv at all.
